Role
We are seeking a Solutions Engineer with in-depth knowledge and expertise in hands-on EHR technical integration design, development, and implementation. The right candidate also has a firm conceptual understanding of health system hospital revenue cycle management (RCM) workflow and processes.
In this role, you will be critical in successfully integrating SmarterDx into hospital IT systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and help guide the implementation process from start to finish, ensuring that our solutions are effectively integrated and meet client requirements. This position requires exceptional problem-solving, project management, leadership, and communication skills, and an in-depth understanding of EHR systems.

What You’ll Do
- Be a compelling and interactive guide for client IT teams as they integrate with the SmarterDx platform implementation
- Lead integration discussions at client implementation kick offs
- Hold regular working sessions with clients as they build & deploy
- Validate integration and data components to ensure launch product requirements are met
- Troubleshoot and tactically resolve issues during the implementation process
- Write clear guides on integration methods and best practices, including both written and visual documentation (Figma diagrams, Visios, etc.)
- Confidently own each one of these integration components:
- Bidirectional data pipelines between client EHR system(s) and the SmarterDx platform (HL7v2.x, FHIR, flat files, etc)
- Client EHR configuration to support SmarterDx workflows
- Be a great Smartian teammate
- Work closely with our Implementation, Engineering, and Data Science teams to apply successful integration solutions
- Educate both our team and clients on value-add EHR integration methods
What You Bring
- 5+ years experience in EHR analyst (technical) roles, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement integrations between EHRs and 3rd party systems
- Hands-on-keys experience implementing data integrations via HL7v2 or FHIR
- Hands-on experience with developing and running SQL statements
- In-depth knowledge of one or more EHR systems (such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech), including hands-on experience configuring and supporting a major EHR
- Ownership mindset: Ability to build and own features from start to finish
- Strong problem-solving skills: You can creatively to identify solutions to problems

- Epic Bridges interface certification
- Epic Chronicles reporting workbench tool experience
- Cerner CCL experience
- In-depth knowledge of hospital revenue cycle management (RCM) workflows, with particular emphasis on clinical charge capture through claims processing
- A background in healthcare consulting, and/or experience deploying software in a healthcare context
Compensation
$185-205k base + equity
