Role Description
Zócalo Health is seeking dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapists / Counselors to deliver culturally centered telehealth services. We’re looking for independently licensed therapists (LP, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW) in California who share our commitment to making mental health care accessible and culturally relevant for our communities.
As a Zócalito Therapist, you will be part of a team focused on clinical excellence and culturally responsive care, aiming to achieve meaningful outcomes. You’ll leverage your clinical expertise, sound judgment, and our established guidelines to assess when members may need external resources, while collaborating closely with a team of community health workers, physicians, and other therapists to support well-rounded treatment decisions.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the patient’s time zone
8-hour workdays with scheduled breaks
Key Responsibilities
Provide top-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy via telehealth
Manage your caseload and organize your schedule independently
Maintain timely, complete clinical documentation in our EHR system
Engage in clinical consultations and training to continually refine your expertise
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to strengthen and guide treatment decisions
Requirements
40-hour work week
Caseload of 50 patients, with 20-22 hours per week dedicated to direct care and the remainder for administrative tasks
Ongoing training participation
Assessment and diagnosis of mental health conditions
Team collaboration across disciplines, including physicians and community health workers
Between-session messaging to support patient care and team communication
Participation in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings
Maintain licensure in California and acquire additional state licenses as needed
Timely documentation and adherence to company policies and procedures
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted California license (LP, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW)
Master’s degree (minimum)
Fluent in Spanish, capable of conducting full therapy sessions in Spanish
At least 2 years of post-licensure experience
Experience with measurement-based care
Experience with group therapy and willingness to help develop group curriculum
Ability to manage diverse caseloads, including varying ages, conditions, and cultural backgrounds
Skilled in evidence-based therapies (e.g., ERP, CBT, ACT, EMDR, DBT) and high-risk populations
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Remote workspace that is confidential and internet-ready
Proficiency with technology, including Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, EMR, and outcomes survey software
Team-oriented and adaptable to a dynamic, goal-driven environment
