The Opportunity

We're looking for a talented and enterprising Signal Processing Engineer to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will possess both the fundamentals and proven experience in developing end-to-end pipelines using both conventional and learning-based approaches. They will work within the R&D team and cross-functionally to develop novel sensing modalities, evolve existing solutions, and research new domains of our wearable platform.

This is can be mostly remote, with an average of 1x per month in office in our Long Island City facility. *Additional in office collaboration will be required during certain project phases

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Hardware Lead and other R&D team members to research, design, and evaluate sensing modalities for new clinical capabilities and insights
  • Own and maintain Wesper’s signal processing pipelines as part of our core platform, working with R&D and CTO teams, including new features and defect resolution
  • Collaborate within R&D and cross-functionally to support validation activity, clinical and consumer-driven, as well as regulatory activity for new capabilities
  • Stay current with advancements in related signal processing and medical device technologies
  • Contribute additional documentation as necessary

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a signal processing, engineering, or research role in a commercial setting
  • Experience implementing signal processing pipelines using Python, MATLAB, or R
  • Proven track record with full-stack rapid prototyping and/or testing in a lab environment

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $100, 000-$120,000 based on a wide range of compensation factors. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Total compensation will also include an equity component.
