We’re looking for an experienced IT Network Security Engineer to join our Information Technology and Information Security team. You’ll report to the Senior Manager of Information Technology and work alongside collaborative partners and dedicated colleagues working to grow Truepill and support our mission.
As an IT Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of many different pieces of network and security-related hardware and software. As an IT Network Security Engineer, you will be the company's first line of defense against unauthorized access from outside sources and potential security threats. You will mitigate any potential threats that become evident and strategize and prepare before any security threat is enacted.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because...
- You will provide engineering support and regular maintenance of client: Servers, storage devices, operating systems, networking devices, telecommunications and firewalls
- You will complete monthly scheduled maintenance and patching of critical networking assets
- You will troubleshoot and remediate critical network assets including servers, storage devices, operating systems, networking devices, and firewalls
- You will design and drive network and security projects and initiatives
- You will actively participate in researching trends and current countermeasures for cyber security vulnerabilities, exploits, and other malicious activity
- You will provide Incident Response (IR) support as needed
- You will provide analysis based on threat and vulnerability reports
- You will analyze and respond to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities
- You will interpret and act on results from various security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Solutions, DLP, etc.
- You will complete setup of end-user computers that include migrating software and user files
- You will set up VPNs site to site
- You will work with Service Desk Engineers and Level 3 Engineering to ensure Ticket Resolution
- You will qualify and respond to Level 2 and Level 3 Tickets using our Service Desk Ticketing software
- You will triage tickets according to priority levels
- You will assist with defining purchasing needs hardware, software, and services for clients
We're Excited About You Because...
- You possess 3+ years experience in IT administration with a focus on computer networking and/or Information security
- You have a two-year degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- You possess industry certifications such as CCNA, Security+, OSCP, etc. (preferred)
- You have experience working with multiple vendor hardware platforms including Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and Juniper
- You have demonstrated knowledge of Layer 2/3 technologies and protocols including RTSP, VLAN, VTP, ARP, OSPF, BGP
- You have the ability to analyze complex situations and and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems and tools, and creative problem solving skills under pressure
- You have a solid understanding of Enterprise Network Design, infrastructure, and operational best practices
- You are proficient in Linux operating system, scripting experience is a plus
- You are able to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments with minimal supervision
- You are able to monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations including but not limited to Azure Sentinel, CrowdStrike Falcon, Cisco Umbrella, and the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance center
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000.
