About the position:

  • As a foundational partner, play a pivotal role in managing and advancing our corporate technology. This is a unique opportunity to join a company with a modern, stable tech stack and contribute to its ongoing success and sustainability.
  • Responsible for key areas of our IT ecosystem and the services our employees rely on daily, this role is for a hands-on systems generalist who enjoys acting as a thoughtful architect for our IT operations and end-user experience. While this role owns daily support, the position is primarily focused on proactive improvement and skillful administration, providing the autonomy to own critical projects, mature operational processes, and help define the standards and vision that contribute significantly to the ongoing success, effectiveness, and scalability of our IT landscape.
  • This hybrid role (1 in office day/week) is based out of our Manhattan Union Square office and reports to the Senior Director of IT.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Drive administration, security, and support for core systems including Okta, Google Workspace, Zoom, Jira, Jamf, Intune, and Meraki
  • Support all current and changing aspects of our IT environment; including macOS and Windows laptops, mobile devices, audio/visual equipment, printers, and networking equipment
  • Manage inbound support requests via walkups, tickets, email, and Slack, and serve as a domain expert and escalation point to other team members
  • Own team SLAs and drive their improvements by identifying patterns and automation opportunities
  • Serve as the primary IT owner for our New York office, managing local support requests and infrastructure
  • Coordinate, support, and continuously improve employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Create, define, and redesign IT processes and policies to ensure sustainability and scalability as our company grows
  • Develop, document, and enforce IT policies and procedures
  • Proactively identify high-impact opportunities and engineer solutions that improve the company's technical landscape and capabilities
  • Champion innovation by evaluating industry trends and making compelling business cases for the adoption of new tools, security practices, and operational processes
  • Lead strategic IT projects from conception to completion, including scoping requirements, designing solutions, and implementing them to meet future needs
  • Consult with business partners to develop efficient, sustainable, and scalable cross-functional workflows
  • Give & receive feedback across all levels

What you'll bring:

  • 4+ years hands-on IT Support experience in modern enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of relevant technical customer support experience
  • Deep expertise with advanced troubleshooting and administration of Windows and macOS (50/50)
  • Experience leveraging Jamf and Intune for zero-touch deployment, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management
  • Experience administering office networks and a proficient understanding of networking concepts
  • Experience administering, architecting, and supporting Okta and Google Workspace
  • Demonstrated experience using scripting with UEM/MDM to manage endpoints (e.g. Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience building automations for identity and lifecycle management using iPaaS platforms (e.g. Workato, Okta Workflows, Tray.io)
  • Proficient understanding of Jira or other ticketing systems
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience understanding complex issues and explaining them in terms appropriate for technical or non-technical audiences
  • Experience driving complex projects from planning to completion with limited oversight
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and self-manage competing priorities
  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous environment where there's not a set playbook on how to solve each problem, and helping write the playbook
  • A passion for automation and efficiency
  • A desire to provide exceptional customer service, satisfaction, and user experience

Pay:

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 and will be eligible for an annual performance based bonus. Where a new hire falls within this range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Stellar's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Stellar rewards performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.
