About the Role

An established healthcare services, product and education company is seeking a new Head of Marketing to join the company through its next phase of growth. This individual will be responsible for developing relationships with our customers and driving cost-effective acquisition through digital and other channels to support the purchase of our comprehensive healthcare memberships, wellness products and educational programs. They will oversee a working marketing budget of over $1m a year, grow an in-house team (currently a team of less than 5) and partner with agencies to develop and evangelize our brand through a period of rapid development and diversification. The ideal candidate will deploy hands-on leadership, have a proven track-record of growing direct response in the health space and be adept at working within a long-established organization. This is a remote position and the candidate may be located anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:

Multi-Channel Customer Acquisition

  • Establish and monitor efficiency metrics that inform investment decisions and performance monitoring
  • Discover and drive digital customer acquisition through partnership with agencies and development of in-house resources
  • Assess and deploy marketing campaigns with alternative, non-digital channels including affiliate sales and traditional media campaigns for consumers and healthcare professionals

Website and Inbound Marketing Platform Development

  • Support lead conversion by developing and continuously monitoring a robust, multi-step marketing funnel to nurture leads
  • Cohesively own and consider our website, social, search and email campaigns to support an overarching conversion strategy
  • Add sophistication to the company’s current understanding and treatment of its different customer types to strengthen our relationships with them.

Brand and Product Positioning, Company Voice

  • Partner to update and optimize the company brand as well as position new products and services aimed at different segments so that the company messaging is cohesive and attractive to each.
  • Support branding and product positioning internally so that all parts of the organization act as consistent, aligned brand evangelizers including sales.
  • Discover and communicate customer insights to the greater organization

Build and Develop In-House Talent

  • Recruit, retain and empower marketing team members to scale their area of responsibility across different products and services

You are:

  • Tech-savvy, results-driven and highly analytical
  • Skillful at working with a variety of channels to source different customer types, including physicians
  • Relentlessly focused on “voice of the customer” with a strong brand sensibility
  • Effective at influencing centrally within an organization that has often operated decentrally
  • Passionate for customer discovery, building brands and launching products in the healthcare and wellness space
  • Quick to roll up your sleeves

Skills and qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience with a strong record in large-scale multi-channel marketing campaigns including digital direct response
  • Track record of optimizing lead nurturing and conversion over long(er) sales cycles
  • Experience motivating, mentoring and retaining key talent
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare marketing best practices
