The Job at a Glance

As part of Soda Health’s Health Plan Solutions team, you will sit at the center of all the action when it comes to serving our health plan clients including product development, solution architecture, and program implementation for a rapidly growing and increasingly complex set of customers. Reporting to the General Manager of Health Plan Solutions, this role will act as our team’s switch hitter, oscillating between supporting strategic work and leading tactical topics. The ideal candidate enjoys a job where fresh challenges are always on the menu, is skilled working cross functionally to solve problems, has a keen eye for detail, an ear for opportunities, and doesn’t break a sweat leading conversations with health plan representatives, executives, and other external partners.

What You’ll Do

As a switch hitter, you’ll jump in to lead product projects and client initiatives as the needs of our business evolve and “what’s hot” ebbs and flows. While no two days will look the same, typical responsibilities of the role include:

  • Act as an implementation lead for the Soda Health platform for health plans and other benefit sponsors. This includes owning the relationship between Soda Health and our clients during implementation, acting as their primary point of contact for all day-to-day matters, hands on keyboard platform configuration, and utilizing project management best practices to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of client implementations.
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to enhance our product offerings. Sink your teeth into identified capability gaps and market feedback, conduct the research necessary to scope viable solutions, and chart workstream next steps to make those solutions a reality.
  • Build a deep understanding of Soda Health’s existing tools and process infrastructure. Lead initiatives to improve our overall efficiency by developing, tweaking, and rolling out new internal and client processes and codifying support materials.

About You

While every candidate has a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate brings:

  • 3-6+ years of progressive experience in Medicare and Medicaid health plan administration, product, program management, or strategy roles; prior experience in start-ups and/or rapidly scaling organizations is a plus.
  • Direct experience launching a supplemental benefit, ILOS, quality, and/or rewards programs with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid health plans. Literacy in HEDIS, Stars, and quality programs. Understanding of the dynamics between health plans and CMS, including familiarity with CMS’ annual calendar, compliance activities, and rulemaking processes.
  • Demonstrated experience running and scaling operational and/or commercialization processes and functions; a strong candidate will have specific examples of when they owned the creation of a solution and drove its on-going management/enhancements with quantifiable results.
  • Self-starting builder/operator who is results-oriented, can embrace ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines; you have a bias for action and want to roll up your sleeves to solve a myriad of problem sets – whether tactical, strategic, or product related.
  • Strong communicator and relationship cultivator who can successfully influence and partner with various levels of the organization and key external stakeholders; a high level of emotional intelligence is a must, alongside the ability to set clear project team direction and communicate effectively with various stakeholder groups.
  • Commitment to building a diverse culture that is highly collaborative, strives to set and achieve goals together, and embraces transparency, innovation, and accountability.
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar experience strongly preferred.
