About Sirona Medical
At Sirona Medical, we’re building software that enables physicians to work as fast as they can think.
Each year in the U.S., billions of patient images are captured—and nearly all of them are reviewed and diagnosed by radiologists. These specialists are the central hub of diagnostic medicine: over 80% of all healthcare data flows through radiology IT systems. Yet despite their pivotal role, radiologists are overburdened by outdated, fragmented software which limits their efficiency and ultimately the quality and efficiency of care that health systems can provide patients. That’s where Sirona comes in.
We’re a San Francisco-based, cloud-native software company with employees around the world. Our deep understanding of both the practice and business of radiology has allowed us to build RadOS—a unified, AI-powered operating system powering the entire radiology workflows.
How Sirona Solves the Problem
Sirona is uniquely positioned to transform the way radiology is practiced. We're delivering the organizational shift that both individual radiologists and entire practices urgently need:
A unified, intuitive, and platform-agnostic solution
A streamlined workspace that makes every part of the radiologist’s workflow faster and easier
The freedom to read from anywhere, for anyone
By cutting clicks, optimizing diagnostic time, and unlocking efficiencies that extend far beyond the reading room into all care settings, Sirona empowers radiologists—and in doing so, we help the entire healthcare system move faster, smarter, and with greater impact on patient outcomes.
Sirona Medical is looking for a Product Operations Lead to collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership on how those teams work together day to day. This role is focused on process: helping shape ceremonies, estimation practices, and review/approval flows that let other teams execute well. You won't own roadmap priorities, decide what gets built, or manage reporting on execution status. That responsibility sits with the Director of Product and flows up to the VP of Product. Your job is to work alongside leadership and the teams themselves to help drive process decisions to a good conclusion, not to dictate the outcome, but to bring structure, facilitation, and follow-through to conversations that might otherwise stall.
This is a consultative role. You succeed by building consensus and helping others arrive at process improvements they'll actually adopt, not by imposing a system on them.
What success in this role looks like:
- Product, Design, and Engineering feel like their shared ceremonies were shaped with them, not handed to them
- Leadership has a trusted collaborator to work through process questions with, rather than another decision-maker to align with
- Review and approval checkpoints are clear because the affected teams helped define them
- The Director of Product and Engineering leads have a thinking partner on process, without ceding ownership of their teams' ways of working
This role reports to our VP of Product and ideally works out of our San Francisco, CA or Burlington, VT office.
Key Responsibilities:
Ceremonies & Cadence
- Work with Product, Design, and Engineering leads to evaluate and evolve working ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, retros, and similar sessions
- Help facilitate these ceremonies and propose structural improvements, bringing options to leadership rather than making unilateral changes
- Continuously check in with teams on what's working and help guide adjustments collaboratively as needs change
Estimation Practices
- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to shape a shared estimation approach that fits how the teams actually work
- Bring historical data (velocity, cycle time, estimate-vs-actual) into planning conversations to help teams calibrate their own estimation over time
- Help design a clearer intake process in collaboration with the teams who'll use it
Reviews & Approvals
- Facilitate conversations with Product, Design, Engineering, and QA leadership to help clarify review and approval checkpoints across the development process
- Help surface and resolve ambiguity around who approves, who's consulted, and who's informed at each checkpoint, proposing options rather than dictating structure
- Maintain lightweight tracking, developed in partnership with the teams, so work status is easy to see without anyone needing to ask around
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Serve as a process-focused thought partner between Product, Design, and Engineering, surfacing where handoffs feel unclear and working with those teams to find a fix together
- Help maintain and refine the tooling that supports agreed-upon processes (Jira, Linear, Notion, or similar), in collaboration with the teams using it
- Offer process-level observations (e.g., cycle time, ceremony health, bottleneck patterns) that give the Director of Product and Engineering leads useful input for their own decisions, distinct from roadmap or execution status reporting
- Potentially assist with coordination and management of clinical development partners and customer development partners, along with other product operations duties as assigned
- Collaborate with the Product Documentation Lead on internal and external enablement, as well as the early adopter/beta program, helping ensure feedback and readiness activities are coordinated with the broader product process
Key Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in product management/operations, program/project management, or a similar process-facilitation role within a product/engineering organization
- Experience facilitating agile ceremonies, estimation practices, or review/approval conversations
- A natural collaborator, comfortable working across Product, Design, and Engineering without formal authority over any of them; this role runs on trust and influence, not hierarchy or mandate
- Comfortable working with product/engineering tooling (Jira, Airfocus, Asana, or similar) to support team-agreed processes
- Strong listener and systems thinker who can help a group reach consensus rather than pushing a predetermined answer
- Comfortable operating in a regulated, clinical, or enterprise B2B environment (healthcare or health IT strongly preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the judgment to know when to lead a conversation and when to support someone else's
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with radiology, PACS/RIS, medical imaging, or clinical workflow software
- Experience coordinating with external technical partners on scoping or scheduling of collaborative work
- Scrum Master, PMP, or similar process/delivery certification
