Job Description: Delivery Confirmation Associate

The Delivery Confirmation Associate will collaborate with cross-functional operation team members to ensure the timely delivery of medication to patients. This role will focus on patient care, identification of delivery barriers and growth of the specialty pharmacy program. This role will report to the Patient Support Center Supervisor.

The Delivery Confirmation Associate should be an entrepreneurial and empathetic person focusing on streamlining processes and increasing operational efficiency in the delivery confirmation process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure patients receive their specialty medications in a timely fashion by collaboratively working with external specialty pharmacies
  • Identify barriers to patient receiving their first delivery of a new specialty medication from external specialty pharmacies
  • Assist patients in obtaining copay cards when applicable if a barrier exists in receiving their first fill
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members such as Centralized Outreach, Patient Support Advocates and Liaisons to find solutions for patients with barriers to receiving their initial fill of specialty medication from external specialty pharmacies
  • Use technology available, such as provider portals, to coordinate details of deliveries with external specialty pharmacies
  • Educate patients on their options for their delivery of specialty medications, including the ability to speak to the SHS Care Model with eligible patients
  • Recognize trends and proactively think of solutions to prevent delays in patient therapy
  • Adequately document findings in patient adherence platforms in a coherent and efficient manner
  • Assist patients in obtaining copay cards when applicable if a barrier exists in receiving their first fill
  • Ability to perform prior authorization renewals for patients

Job Salary:

An employee in this position can expect a hourly rate between $20.00 - 23.00. The actual compensation range will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.

Experience/Requirements

  • 6 months+ experience as a pharmacy technician
  • PTCB certified, or committed to receiving PTCB certification within first nine (9) months of employment. Should additional licensure need to be obtained, the applicant will commit to obtaining the required licensure within a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word
