About the Role
We are seeking a Founding Engineer who values technology as a tool to create leverage for our team, not an end in itself. You'll be the driving force behind our tech platform to serve both the Seen Health San Gabriel Valley PACE program and our tech design partners. You will create systems and tools for our clinicians and staff that respect their skills and time, deliver relevant data at the time and site of care, and enhance their ability to deliver exceptional care to our participants. You have opportunities to venture beyond software to craft solutions that incorporate devices, personnel, families, local communities, and the broader healthcare ecosystem. We prize pragmatism and dismiss the "Not-Invented-Here" syndrome; whether we're developing solutions or integrating existing ones, we focus on addressing complex problems with the most effective tools at our disposal.
Responsibilities
- Develop the foundational elements of our tech platform with state-of-the-art engineering, design, and AI tools
- Work alongside teams across product, design, care delivery, operations, and real estate teams to design and create and deploy innovative tech solutions
- Develop deep understand of and empathy for our primary users – staff and clinicians – to address their challenges and empower them to do their best work
- Embrace complexity, building solutions at the appropriate layers of our tech stack and organization
- Balance the "design & build" and "buy & integrate" strategies to tackle diverse problems in care delivery and operations
Qualifications
- 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with a track record of end-to-end ownership of real-world products; ideally former founder or early engineer at a startup who built a product from scratch
- A humble, generalist engineering mindset, with a knack for quickly mastering new tech and tools
- A strong grasp of data (schema design, analytics tools, data engineering, etc)
- Expertise in general purpose programming languages: Javascript/Typescript, Python, Go, Java, etc
- A deep passion for the Seen Health mission and a commitment to serving vulnerable elderly populations
