RxAnte launched Mosaic Pharmacy Service in 2019, a wholly owned subsidiary designed to offer pharmacy and chronic care management services for our clients’ most medically complex and vulnerable members. Using data, advanced analytics, specialized software and pharmacy automation, Mosaic is transforming the pharmacy experience for medically complex seniors while also helping payers achieve their quality improvement and cost savings objectives.

Job Profile

RxAnte is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead, coordinate, and own a variety of financially related issues at RxAnte. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this individual will serve as a critical company leader and thought partner to the CFO, providing leverage by leading these financially related initiatives and decision-making processes. This individual will also work with and manage an associate-level finance teammate.

The ideal candidate has strong business acumen, financial analysis, and business execution capabilities, with the ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for optimal business and financial outcomes. This is not an accounting-centric role – deep accounting knowledge is less critical than thorough logic, financially-oriented analytical interpretation, detail orientation, organizational skills, and practical problem-solving. The VP, Finance role will give the individual broad exposure to a variety of financial and business matters that would appeal to candidates who may aspire to a future CFO role.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Business Issue Ownership & Decision Facilitation

  • Provide leverage to the CFO by being accountable for delegated financially-related business issues – ensuring they are managed to resolution while considering stakeholder needs, potential limitations, risk-reward trade-offs, and ROI implications. Ensure managed issues are thoughtfully considered, strategically aligned, operationally effective, and financially optimized.
  • Lead decision-making by analyzing problems from a finance-first perspective, identifying alternatives, and recommending the most financially prudent and effective solutions for the enterprise.
  • Ensure that outcomes are sustainable for the finance and accounting team and align with broader business strategy.
  • Deliver work that is thoroughly considered, logically sound, and error-free – with the ability to present finalized, decision-ready materials to senior leadership or the Board of Directors.

2. Strategic Financial Management

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and expectations while considering feedback from department leaders in setting and defining performance targets for ongoing monitoring.
  • Track budget vs. actual financial performance, proactively identify areas that are off trajectory or offer improvement opportunity, and ensure any improvement actions are determined, implemented, and fulfilled.
  • Play leading financial role in supporting corporate development or transaction activities, major operational investments, operational or business model improvements (including AI-tool implementation initiatives), and strategic initiatives, ensuring decisions are based on rigorous financial analysis and sound business judgment.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a business partner to Client Success/Business Development, Pharmacy, Technology, Legal, HR, and Analytics team leads – ensuring financial insights are integrated into decision-making processes.
  • Engage effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs while balancing financial prudence, long-term sustainability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to proactively identify and solve the most pressing financial and operational challenges.

4. Analytical & Communication Excellence

Produce high-quality financial deliverables in conjunction with associate-level finance teammate that:

  • Are thoroughly considered and logically structured
  • Elucidate key insights clearly and concisely for decision-makers
  • Are free of errors and decision-ready upon presentation

Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in an accessible and persuasive manner.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive financially oriented leadership with a focus on business problem-solving, strategic decision-making, and financial analysis. Work experience in a high-growth company, management consulting, investment banking, or private equity is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to own and drive business issues to successful completion while balancing financial implications with other business considerations.
  • Honed logic, detail orientation, and business acumen – ability to synthesize complex financial and operational issues into clear, actionable decisions or insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present data, insights, and recommendations clearly, succinctly, and persuasively to senior leadership.
  • Experience managing budgets, performance tracking, and working closely with operational leadership.
  • Comfort with financial statements and basic accounting – we prioritize strategic finance, financial analysis, thorough problem-solving, and issue leadership over technical accounting knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems that require strong business judgement that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative considerations.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, owning complex problems, and delivering practical, financially sound outcomes.

Additional Matters

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Employee will work remotely from home with occasional travel required to our Sterling, Virginia, offices.
  • The candidate selection process will include a technical assessment that may require 2 – 3 hours of work developing responses to quantitative and qualitative exercises.
