Position Description

RubiconMD, an innovative healthcare company, bringing better care at lower costs to providers and their patients across the country. It’s no small order, but we achieve it with the right team. That’s why we need a DevOps Engineer who can work closely with multiple teams including our software engineers and analytics teams. With an automate first approach you will improve upon current processes around Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deployment pipelines, observability, alerting and other areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop and support software delivery pipeline; working in collaboration with application developers to champion best practices in CI/CD to ensure quality/confidence in releases

  • Provide end-to-end system monitoring tying together network, application, and infrastructure notifications/alerts

  • Architect and support all public cloud environments, ensuring best practices for both AWS and security

  • Design, implement, and scale our environments using an automation first approach, leveraging infrastructure as code to appropriately secure, scale, and administrate the health of our systems

  • Administer cloud infrastructure to ensure appropriate service-level agreements around uptime, performance, and security measures

  • Document processes and procedures for other team members to understand implementation and repeat independently as needed.

Skills & attributes:

  • AWS / Linux Environment

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform setup, administration, reporting, monitoring & alerting

    • Linux environment administration and automation experience

    • Containerization of application to provide reliability and scalability

  • DevOps Practices

    • Infrastructure as code tools (Cloudformation, Terraform)

    • Configuration management tools, (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

    • Continuous integration (CI) tools (CircleCI, Jenkins)

    • Monitoring (Datadog, New-relic, Splunk)

  • Delivery Team

    • Working in Agile environments, directly on scrum teams

    • Experience working alongside application engineers to understand their needs and solutioning in partnership

  • 5-8+ years of professional experience

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $150,000-$160,000 and we anticipate that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by the candidate’s unique combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. This role is also eligible for employee benefits and other compensation.
This role requires access to Personal Health Information (PHI). The incumbent will be required to participate in annual HIPPA training.
