About The Role

We seek a highly driven Founding Engineer to help build Rockland's Medicaid product from the ground up. You'll work directly with engineering and product leadership to build and ship the initial platform, support foundational technical decisions, and turn early customer needs into functional software. You will:

• Collaborate closely with the CEO, Engineering, & Product leadership to translate business requirements and PRDs into shipped product

• Design and build core systems across the tech stack, from data models and APIs to user-facing workflows

• Debug, maintain, and improve core technical systems as they evolve and grow

• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, best practices, and methodologies

• Apply frontier AI tools (e.g., LLMs and automation frameworks) to design and ship pragmatic solutions that reduce manual, repetitive workflows

About You

• 4–8 years of software engineering experience building production-ready products in AI, healthcare, or SaaS

• Strong full-stack development experience across unfamiliar parts of the system when needed

• Track record of shipping complex features in fast-moving environments

• Familiarity with frontier AI/ML tools with strong curiosity to learn and adapt

• SF co-location preferred but not required
