  • Parental leave policy

About the Role:

We’re hiring a Consultant to work within our strategy consulting team at Rock Health Advisory. You will work on market research and consulting projects supporting large healthcare enterprises (health systems, health plans, pharmaceutical, tech, and retail clients) and mature digital health startups. You will support a wide range of projects to help clients understand specific digital health markets and trends, identify best-fit partners and M&A targets, conduct comparative deep-dives on startups and competitors, and develop cutting-edge product and growth strategies. You will also support the development of thought leadership and cross-organization priorities when relevant—e.g., supporting convenings or cross-team initiatives in partnership with the RockHealth.org and/or Rock Health Capital teams.

About You:

You have experience in healthcare strategy and/or consulting, a passion for digital health, and a desire to contribute to a new and different kind of consulting business. You are eager to further develop your consulting skills, work in an environment where you can be creative, challenge conventional thinking, and operate with an entrepreneurial mindset. You know what it takes to work in a project team environment, and that doing excellent work means sharing responsibility and giving support to your teammates. You are eager for the opportunity to develop and contribute to the development of others on your team. You are resilient, value feedback as a tool for growth, and are comfortable navigating through ambiguity. You have excellent written and oral communication skills, can communicate your findings clearly and confidently, and think quickly on your feet.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute project plans with precision, an eye for value-added changes, and attention to detail
  • Conduct and synthesize primary and secondary research on clinical, scientific, technology, and business topics
  • Contribute meaningfully to brainstorming, framework development, and insights iteration during team problem-solving sessions
  • Coordinate and lead interviews with clients, customers, physicians, and thought leaders
  • Communicate and present insights to consultants, engagement leaders, and clients
  • Develop financial models to perform quantitative analysis
  • Collaborate with project teams to execute projects
  • Participate in research and publication of digital health thought leadership
  • Support client development efforts, including proposals and case studies
  • Engage with the digital health ecosystem
  • Collaborate with the broader Rock Health team on company-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; emphasis in Business, Health Administration, Public Health, Technology, or Life Sciences highly desirable
  • 2-4 years work experience in healthcare industry via consulting or strategy
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience executing quantitative and qualitative research
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • High level of motivation and self-starting attitude
  • Passion for digital health innovation
  • Willingness to travel when necessary to meet client needs (note this is not a full-time travel position and the role is remote; however, a few planned events happen each year that you may be required to attend)

Compensation:

The range for base compensation for the Consultant role is $90,000 – $105,000. Consultants will be eligible for bonus based on personal and company performance.
