Progyny is seeking a strategic, execution-oriented leader to serve as Vice President of Strategic Operations and Business Transformation. This role will be a key partner to the COO, responsible for driving operational performance management, leading enterprise-wide initiatives, and enabling transformation across the organization. The VP will oversee the design and execution of cross-functional programs that enhance business agility, improve performance, and align with Progyny’s strategic priorities.

This is a high-impact leadership role that blends operational rigor with strategic foresight, requiring a leader who can both architect and operationalize change.

What you will do...

Operational Performance Management

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise performance management frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and business reviews.
  • Partner with Finance, Clinical Ops, Member Services, and Client Success to ensure alignment of operational goals with company strategy.
  • Identify and resolve performance gaps through root cause analysis and structured problem-solving.

Business Transformation & Strategic Initiatives

  • Drive the end-to-end execution of high-priority initiatives across departments, including clinical, member, and client operations.
  • Lead transformation programs that improve scalability, efficiency, and experience across the operational value chain.
  • Serve as the operational lead for enterprise capability modeling, process optimization, and change management.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the COO and senior leadership team on operational priorities and transformation opportunities.
  • Facilitate alignment across business units, ensuring initiatives are integrated and outcomes are measurable.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of program managers and analysts focused on execution excellence.

Enterprise Reporting & Governance

  • Oversee the cadence and content of operational reporting, including monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Establish governance structures for initiative tracking, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.

About you....

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, operations, or business transformation.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide initiatives and delivering measurable performance improvements.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare operations, payer/provider dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, matrixed organization, preferred.
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive cross-functional alignment, preferred.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $225,000 - $250,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
