Social media plays an essential role in bringing learners to our programs and expanding our brand awareness in the marketplace. The Social Media Specialist will assist with developing and executing a social media strategy that drives patient and HCP participation in our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to the marketing and communication team regarding the scientific messaging for marketing campaigns. Review marketing materials from editorial team to ensure alignment with the learning objectives. Ensure deliverables, and target audience are accurately identified.
  • Collaborate with Business Development team to help drive business growth by advising on new opportunities based on scientific research and evidence and meeting with supporters.
  • Lead the slides and scientific review of CME program content. Collaborate with presenting KOLs to ensure accuracy of content. Lead kick-off calls with PM and faculty to communicate program content and goals. Review slides from faculty for accuracy and flow. Adhere to scheduled timelines.
  • Lead the slides and scientific review of patient program content. Collaborate with content writers, presenting faculty and partners to ensure accuracy of the content. Lead kick-off calls with PM and content writers for patient slide deck preparation. Review slide decks for accuracy and patient-friendly language. Adhere to scheduled timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Outcomes Team to provide scientific insights based on outcomes data from CME and patient programs. Review the data from outcome reports, identify key scientific take aways and define next steps. Development of pre and post questions with VP of Outcomes and continue enhancements of outcome methodology.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and B2B Marketing Teams to provide scientific support for sales/BD presentations. Develop concepts for presentation to supporters.
  • Assist in the design and development of abstracts, posters, and presentations. Write abstracts as indicated in grant proposals. Determine data to be included in poster. Fill out poster template. Format and review poster for accuracy and completeness (data accuracy, acknowledgement of supporters, PQHE channels).
  • Present posters/publications at medical conferences. Attend meetings for poster presentation.
  • Collaborate with advocacy groups, centers of excellence, non profit foundations and society association partners on development and review of medical and scientific content. Attend meetings with partnership teams and identify business opportunities with support of manager. Develop concepts for identified opportunities for presentation at partnership meetings.
  • Weekly status update to Manager.
  • Ensure delegation of workload to medical directors on oncology team including deliverables tied to the oncology concept and submission cadence.
  • Instruct oncology medical team on timely edits necessary to improve scientific program insights.
  • Manage the design and development of abstracts, posters, publications, and presentations. Mentor and delegate writing of abstracts, publications, and presentations to team members as needed.
  • Lead weekly status updates with individual medical team members. Provide feedback, determine priorities and resolve challenges. Provide feedback to VP Medical Oncology.
  • Mentor medical team in implementation efforts ensuring clear understanding of curriculum components and identify opportunities for individual development/growth.
  • Maintain department SOPs and training materials to ensure cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Mentor medical team towards accountability for assigned areas and high-quality implementation consistent with education learning principles and PQHE oncology standards.
