About the Role:

As an early member of the Sales Engineering team, you will be a trusted advisor to our prospects that are working on their own efforts to revolutionize healthcare to fully leverage the Particle Health platform. As a technical voice for our prospects, you’ll also liaise directly with our product and engineering teams to provide your unique perspective on how our clients are using the product and how our roadmap can evolve to meet the needs of the field.

A “day in the life” of a Sales Engineer at Particle may include fielding a prospect’s technical questions about and running demos of our API, collaborating with our sales team on prospect solutions design, spec-ing out a prospect feature request with the Product team, or collaborating with our Customer Success team to ensure prospects have a seamless transition into implementation and partnership with us.

What You’ll Do:

  • Present and sell Particle’s vision to democratize access to valuable clinical data to executives, technical, and non-technical stakeholders

  • Co-lead solutions design efforts, in collaboration with the account team, product, and engineering, to deliver compelling solutions to prospects’ use cases.

  • Lead prospect qualification, from a technical perspective, in collaboration with the sales team (VP of Sales, Account Executives, Revenue Operations, etc.) to establish a mutual product fit and partnership

  • Drive client conversions by demonstrating product value via pilots and product walkthroughs

  • Contribute to the growth and effectiveness of the Particle revenue team via close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on process improvements, internal tooling, and collateral development

  • Become a trusted advisor on key products, trends, and regulations that are driving healthcare data interoperability in the United States

What We Look For:

  • Strong presentation skills to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences via presentations, product demos, and ad-hoc Q&A sessions

  • Hands-on experience walking prospective clients through API functionality, implementation architecture, use case design, security reviews, and RFP submissions

  • Experience in driving net-new revenue growth via strong partnerships with revenue-driving teams (e.g. Sales, Customer Success, Marketing)

  • Exposure to collaborating with Product & Engineering teams for the purposes of providing prospect and customer perspective in roadmap planning.

  • Understanding of the end-to-end technical lifecycle of a client, ranging from pre-sale technology evaluation to full integration launch

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working in prospect- or customer-facing environments with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive revenue growth and client satisfaction; 2+ years of experience in a direct Sales Engineering role.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven experience and track record in a technical pre-sales environment; preference towards experience with B2B Data Platform’s and/or B2B SaaS products.

  • Fluency in guiding prospects and customers through the use of API-first products

  • Comfortable with navigating databases via SQL

  • A strong technical aptitude and curiosity to learn new things!

Nice-to-Have:

  • Health tech experience preferred, but not required

  • Degree or certification in Computer Science or related technical field

  • Experience with health data formats like FHIR R4, HL7, and CDA

  • Experience in data analysis, data science, Google Data Studio, or BigQuery

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems

  • Comfort around general-purpose coding languages, such as Python or Java
