Your Role

The Director of Data Science will work closely with our data engineers to set up the foundations of our data analytics and reporting platform. In this role, you will work collaboratively to understand how to structure various data types that Oasis receives; then you will determine how to best structure and normalize this data for analysis and reporting. You will partner with internal stakeholders to understand the performance analytics they need to be successful. You are accountable to build an analytics platform that drives analytics across market operations, product, clinical performance, finance, and growth.

As a Director of Data Science, you will:

  • Collaborate with data engineers to set up initial analytics data models in DBT
  • Identify additional sources of data we can use to identify / risk stratify patients for intervention, and understand the impact of our program
  • Build out predictive models to identify high risk patients
  • Utilize AI/LLMs to advance patient and provider engagement
  • Analyze clinical data we receive from payors and providers
  • Analyze clinical program performance
  • Analyze workflow and operational data
  • Incorporate HIE data and other external sources of data (labs, medications) into patient data model
  • Develop the analytics layer to support executive and operational dashboards

About You

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare analytics with hands-on expertise in real-world data
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading data science teams in healthcare
  • Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing clinical data sources, including EMR, HIE, CCD, CCDA, and ADT messages
  • Advanced SQL skills for complex data analysis and reporting
  • Advanced Python skills
  • Advanced experience with building and productionalizing predictive models
  • Experience working with APIs
  • Experience in developing impactful BI reports and dashboards for end-users
  • Quick learner with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Comfortable working in the ambiguity and rapid change of a startup environment
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams, including operational and clinical teams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience at a health plan or Managed Service Organization
  • Familiarity with Medicare Advantage populations and their unique healthcare needs
  • Background in value-based care organizations
  • Proficiency in analyzing healthcare claims data
  • Experience with the Oasis data stack, including AWS, DBT, and Snowflake

Salary Range
$190,000$210,000 USD
