Job Summary:
As a Principal, Client & Engagement Analytics at mPulse, you will lead cross-functional strategy and consultative analytics efforts to advance client engagement and analytics outcomes. This role focuses on leveraging healthcare and member data and consultative analytics to support client strategy, identify population health opportunities, inform program performance, and guide internal analytic methodologies. The ideal candidate brings experience in healthcare analytics, engagement and quality improvement initiatives. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, steering cross-functional alignment, leading high-impact initiatives and shaping team direction through expertise and collaboration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Leverage analytics to personalize engagement and consumer experience strategies.
- Use member data to identify population health opportunities and guide program improvements.
- Track program effectiveness using regulatory and quality performance metrics (e.g., CAHPS, HOS, HEDIS).
- Develop and present compelling analytic deliverables that communicate insights and drive strategic client action, including during executive-level business reviews.
- Mentor Consultants and support their performance, development, and retention.
- Manage projects and collaborate cross functionally, enabling teams to identify opportunities to standardize and streamline work.
- Lead, monitor, and establish visibility and communication of high effort ad-hoc requests to be supported through product enhancement (new features, re-engineering existing features, etc.)
- Leverage your existing healthcare subject matter knowledge internally and as part of the analytic consulting team to our clients.
- Investigate business problems ranging from population health management to healthcare consumer experience.
- Work closely with analysts on the Analytics team to design, develop, and implement analyses that convert large datasets and complex concepts into usable information and insights.
- Help track and manage client data from ingestion to analytic deliverables.
- Work with the client analytics team on standard and ad-hoc client-specific data tasks involving utilization and health care cost data as well as data from non-traditional, innovative sources.
- Contribute to the company’s ability to grow by developing scalable, semi-automated analytic processes.
Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- Experience providing mentorship, peer leadership, or oversight of analytic workstreams preferred; formal people management a plus but not required.
- Proven skill in stakeholder management with the ability to work cross functionally, influencing effectively, and overcoming barriers.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Advanced skills with data visualization tools (preferably Tableau).
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent ability to effectively communicate with technical and business colleagues and clients to make complex ideas understood.
- Willingness and aptitude to develop SQL querying or programming skills.
- Strong understanding of relational data, ETL practices, and OLAP databases.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience demonstrating strong business acumen in healthcare, health insurance, and/or care management operations, consulting or similar
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field are preferred
