Both candidates with traditional CS backgrounds and others who are self-taught or freelancers can excel here.We're not hiring for a specific niche skill right now. We like to engage with well-rounded full stack engineers (web or mobile). If you feel particularly strong in one skill, we’d still like to talk.More about the roleAs an engineer at our company, you'll work directly with our CTO, Creative Director, and other engineers on a variety of software projects covering different programming languages, frameworks, and application architectures.The single best reason to be an engineer here is exposure to different programming languages, technologies, and client projects.Typical client work includes building: web and mobile apps, APIs, integrations with third party tools, health-tech specific integrations, and digital transformation projects for enterprise clients.What you'll need to be successful- 5+ years working as a software engineer at another agency, a product-focused startup, or an enterprise company.- Some freelancing experience (side hustle or full time) with strong communication, professionalism, punctuality, and follow through.- Zero ego with regards to your code; able to give/receive feedback positively; willing to pair and help others.- Self-starter who balances technically correct solutions with client needs and moves quickly.- Not afraid to ship code; push it up and get feedback.What we'll do for you- Competitive salary & 401k plan- Hiring range: $110,000 to $150,000 (actual compensation considers skills, qualifications, and experience)- Unlimited paid vacation and sick-leave- Paid parental leave- Exceptional healthcare coverage: Lightmatter pays 100% of Dental and Vision premiums, and 50% of Medical premiums- Work remote or wherever you work best- Best-in-class tech (laptop, headphones, standing desk)- Flexible hours- Ongoing education stipend- No equity; possibility of future profit sharing based on tenureNot finding what you're looking for?
