About Us

Hippocratic AI is the leading generative AI company in healthcare. We have the only system that can have safe, autonomous, clinical conversations with patients. We have trained our own LLMs as part of our Polaris constellation, resulting in a system with over 99.9% accuracy.

Why Join Our Team

Reinvent healthcare with AI that puts safety first. We’re building the world’s first healthcare‑only, safety‑focused LLM — a breakthrough platform designed to transform patient outcomes at a global scale. This is category creation.

Work with the people shaping the future. Hippocratic AI was co‑founded by CEO Munjal Shah and a team of physicians, hospital leaders, AI pioneers, and researchers from institutions like El Camino Health, Johns Hopkins, Washington University in St. Louis, Stanford, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and NVIDIA.

Backed by the world’s leading healthcare and AI investors. We recently raised a $126M Series C at a $3.5B valuation, led by Avenir Growth, bringing total funding to $404M with participation from CapitalG, General Catalyst, a16z, Kleiner Perkins, Premji Invest, UHS, Cincinnati Children’s, WellSpan Health, John Doerr, Rick Klausner, and others.

Build alongside the best in healthcare and AI. Join experts who’ve spent their careers improving care, advancing science, and building world‑changing technologies — ensuring our platform is powerful, trusted, and truly transformative.

Location Requirement

We believe the best ideas happen together. To support fast collaboration and a strong team culture, this role is expected to be in our Palo Alto office five days a week, unless otherwise specified.

About the Role

Reporting to the CMO, the Sr. Director of Clinical Content will be the internal clinical voice for Hippocratic AI’s marketing organization. Every clinical claim, every safety narrative, every piece of evidence-based content will be shaped by you. In a company whose core differentiation is clinical safety, this role is foundational.

You are a clinician who made the leap into industry and thrived. You understand peer review processes, clinical evidence standards, and regulatory-adjacent content requirements. But you also understand how to translate complex clinical data into accessible narratives that resonate with non-clinical buyers. You bridge the gap between the clinical and marketing teams.

You will manage Jonathan Agnew (clinical content writer, contractor), partner with HAI’s clinical and safety teams, and collaborate with the Director of Thought Leadership & Content and segment PMMs to ensure clinical accuracy and credibility across every piece of marketing content.

This team is built on an agentic-first operating model. We invest in AI infrastructure, tooling, and workflows that let each team member produce output that would traditionally require a much larger team. Our CMO runs his workflow through AI-augmented tools integrated with Slack, Jira, Google Drive, and Gmail. Our marketing ops lead is building agentic tooling that automates production work. For this role, clinical depth is the primary filter. But you will be expected to embrace AI tools for literature synthesis, evidence review, and clinical content production.

We are not looking for someone who treats AI as a novelty. We are looking for someone who sees AI-augmented clinical review, automated evidence synthesis, and scalable content production as the future of clinical marketing. You will use AI tools to accelerate literature reviews, draft clinical narratives from evidence databases, and maintain consistency across hundreds of clinical claims. Our interview process includes a practical project that directly tests this.

What You'll Do

  • Own All Clinical Content: Evidence summaries, safety documentation, clinical white papers, and peer-reviewed publication support. Every clinical claim in marketing material goes through you.

  • Build the Clinical Credibility Narrative: Create the evidence-based narrative that differentiates HAI from competitors who lack rigorous clinical evidence. 99.90% accuracy and 0.00% severe error rate are the facts. You make them compelling.

  • Manage Clinical Content Writer: Manage Jonathan Agnew (contractor) and build the clinical content production workflow.

  • Partner with Clinical and Safety Teams: Translate clinical evidence into marketing assets. Ensure every claim is defensible and every data point is contextualized appropriately.

  • Support Segment PMMs: Provide clinically accurate, segment-specific content for Provider, Payor, Life Sciences, and Government marketing materials.

  • Collaborate on Thought Leadership: Work with the Director of Thought Leadership & Content on clinical thought leadership pieces: research summaries, clinical perspective blogs, and evidence-based conference presentations.

  • Own Clinical Conference Content: Develop clinical evidence presentations, poster sessions, and supporting materials for healthcare and clinical AI conferences.

  • Build the Clinical Evidence Library: Create and maintain a centralized library of clinical evidence, customer outcomes data, and safety documentation that the entire marketing org can reference.

What You Bring

Must Have:

  • MD degree, OR PhD in a relevant healthcare field (clinical sciences, health sciences, biomedical sciences, epidemiology, health services research, or similar). Non-healthcare PhDs do not qualify.

  • Deep understanding of clinical evidence standards, peer review processes, and regulatory-adjacent content requirements.

  • Experience creating content for clinical buyers: CMOs, CNOs, CMIOs, VP Clinical Operations. You know what resonates with clinicians and what falls flat.

  • Ability to translate complex clinical data into accessible narratives without sacrificing accuracy.

  • Has worked in a technology company (health tech, biotech, medtech), not just pharma or academic medicine. We need someone who made the leap from clinical practice or academia into industry and thrived.

  • Comfortable with LLM tools for research synthesis, literature review, and content drafting. Does not need to be at the same level as other roles, but must be a willing and active user.

  • Strong written communication skills. Published author preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience at a health AI company.

  • Published author in clinical or health technology journals.

  • Experience with FDA/regulatory content for AI/ML medical devices.

  • Network of clinical KOLs.

  • MD is preferred over PhD when two candidates are otherwise equal.

Why This Role

In healthcare AI, clinical credibility is the moat. Any company can claim their AI is helpful. Only a few can prove it is safe. Hippocratic AI has the data: 99.90% clinical accuracy, 0.00% severe error rate, 10M+ clinical calls with no safety issues. But data alone does not build trust. Clinical narrative builds trust.

You will be the person who translates our clinical evidence into the stories that change minds. You will work with physicians, AI researchers, and safety engineers who are building something that has never existed. And you will ensure that every word we put in front of a clinical buyer is accurate, compelling, and defensible.

This is the hardest role to fill in the marketing org, and potentially the most important. If you are a clinician who loves storytelling as much as science, this is your role.
