​​About the Role:

As Lead Pharmacist D&F, you'll lead, motivate, scale and support the pharmacy team to dispense prescriptions in a mail-order pharmacy to our patients in an efficient and strategic manner. You will collaborate with our pharmacist, pharmacy technician and pharmacy support personnel team, focused on day-to-day operational task oversight.. This is an opportunity to promote a safe, efficient and impactful pharmacy team operating at the core of exceptional patient care.

We are currently hiring for the following shift(s):

  • Sunday - Wednesday 6:30am-5pm

You Will:

  • Develop and oversee strategies to provide mail-service pharmacy operations

  • Maintain up to date information on pharmacy regulation across multiple geographies

  • Practice and implement all state and federal pharmacy regulations for the ordering, handling, and management of prescriptions and/or prescription drug products

  • Follow all state and pharmacy regulations and rules as designated by the State Board of Pharmacy.

  • Interpret and implement regulatory strategies as needed for the pharmacy facility and operations

  • Maintain and promote all security and privacy rules regarding the use and handling of protected health information (PHI) in compliance with federal and state HIPAA regulations

  • Update and maintain patient profile records as necessary according to state pharmacy regulations

  • Collaborate on the development and review of standard operating procedures

  • Promote and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment as mandated by the FDA’s rules and regulations

  • Provide a world class pharmacy experience for every one of our patients

  • Perform regular pharmacist duties such as drug utilization reviews, medication label checks, patient counseling, drug information review

  • Work closely with Facility and Fulfillment Leadership, Pharmacy Manager, and Pharmacist team

  • Collaborate on the implementation of new product launches with the pharmacy team

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Doctorate preferred) Required

  • 4-6 years in a pharmacy supervisory role with experience managing licensed and registered pharmacy technicians and pharmacists Required

  • Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy

  • Ability to work flexible shift times

  • Proficiency in English, verbal and written

  • Proficiency in Windows based computer systems

  • Ability to deliver and receive feedback and information effectively to individuals and groups

  • Willingness to work in a team environment and promote company culture

  • Active Pharmacist License in your state, or willing to get licensed in your state is required and

  • Licensed or willing to get licensed in multiple states Required

Conditions of Employment:

  • This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.

  • This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).

  • Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.
