About the Role:

The Director of Operations/General Manager will report into the VP of Fulfillment. As the most senior site leader for our flagship Pharmacy and Fulfillment Operations in New Albany, OH, the General Manager (GM) will serve as a strategic operator, people leader, and innovation driver. This role has end-to-end accountability for P&L performance, facility operations, people development, customer experience, and scaling the infrastructure that powers Hims & Hers' rapid growth.

This is one of the most critical leadership roles at Hims & Hers — ensuring that the medications, wellness products, and treatments we deliver to hundreds of thousands of customers each day are fulfilled with speed, precision, and care.

You'll lead a high-performing team across exempt and non-exempt functions and collaborate cross-functionally with executive leaders to deliver best-in-class outcomes in pharmacy fulfillment, compounding, automation, safety, and service.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned operations executive to shape the future of healthcare logistics and fulfillment in a tech-forward, customer-obsessed, and mission-driven environment.

You Will:

  • End-to-End Ownership of the New Albany operation, including full P&L responsibility for both variable and fixed costs.

  • Lead all aspects of pharmacy, fulfillment, and compounding operations to meet quality, cost, safety, and service level goals.

  • Directly oversee staffing strategy, leadership development, and employee experience for a team of 300+ associates, fostering an inclusive, accountable, and high-performing culture.

  • Own the execution and local leadership of capital investments, site automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Fulfillment, VP of Supply Chain, VP of Ops Finance, Head of Transportation, and other senior stakeholders to drive scalable, technology-enabled operational models.

  • Build and evolve the site's business intelligence and data analytics capabilities to support real-time decision-making and predictive performance management.

  • Serve as a thought partner and advisor to senior leadership in the development of network strategy, technology integration, and long-term capacity planning.

  • Ensure alignment between daily execution and long-range strategic initiatives, especially in new product fulfillment and supply chain innovation.

  • Foster a safety-first, compliance-driven culture with deep understanding of pharmacy regulations, hazardous drug handling, and employee wellbeing.

  • Represent the OH site as a culture carrier and brand ambassador, supporting employee engagement, retention, and purpose-driven leadership.

  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma, add 5S implementation with an ability to teach and display a continuous improvement mindset within the operations organization.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in fulfillment, pharmacy operations, supply chain, or ecommerce logistics within high-growth, fast-paced environments.

  • Demonstrated success in leading operations with 300+ employees and managing $50M+ in capital investments.

  • Proven track record of implementing automation, scaling new programs, and leading transformational change across operational domains.

  • Strong P&L management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Highly skilled in building and leading teams, coaching future leaders, and fostering positive culture at scale.

  • Adept at managing ambiguous and evolving priorities with a customer-first and data-driven mindset.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Willingness to be on-site daily and travel up to 25%.

We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you're not sure if your background or experience is a perfect match.
