About the Role:


As a Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing both inbound and outbound logistics operations. This includes scheduling freight, overseeing dock operations, coordinating with retail partners, and ensuring the on-time and cost-effective flow of goods. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to streamline transportation processes, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement. Your role will be essential to maintaining service excellence and operational efficiency across the supply chain.

You Will:

  • Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments in line with customer requirements, internal timelines, and inventory needs

  • Optimize transportation routes to ensure cost efficiency and on-time delivery performance

  • Manage dock calendars and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure smooth flow of freight and minimize bottlenecks

  • Oversee the scheduling and compliance of retail shipments, ensuring adherence to routing guides, delivery windows, and other customer requirements

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, warehouse operations, and transportation providers

  • Lead and support logistics projects including process improvements, seasonal operations planning, and new retail program launches

  • Monitor project timelines, track milestones, and provide regular updates to key stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards through accurate documentation and record-keeping

  • Oversee shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing slips, and freight paperwork

  • Track key transportation KPIs such as on-time delivery rates, freight spend, and shipping accuracy, using data to drive continuous improvement initiatives

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics management, with exposure to both inbound and outbound operations

  • Proven track record of managing freight schedules, dock appointments, and retail shipments

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with experience in performance monitoring and process improvement

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/G-Sheets and transportation management systems

  • Experience working with third-party carriers and warehouse operations

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
