Role Scope:

Manages the facility maintenance operations of the Habitat Health program centers. Oversee PACE center building-related activities. This includes ensuring that appropriate preventative maintenance for existing and ongoing sites are developed and maintained. Duties include assuring that operational standards and budgetary criteria are met while ensuring facilities are safe and well-functioning.

  • Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs and renovations.
  • Generates and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Manage facility related vendor contracts
  • Manages the upkeep of equipment and facility related supplies to meet health.
  • Manages facility renovations and updates.
  • Assists with new facility construction organization and planning.
  • Participate in continuing education classes and any required staff and training meetings.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and any required certifications.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of facility maintenance experience, and 3 years of management experience, preferably in a geriatric care setting.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members
  • Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment.
  • Skilled in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and software applications.
  • Ability to work without close supervision or professional guidance and to exercise independent judgment.
  • Knowledge of physical, mental, and social needs of frail older adults.
  • Effective listening and oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to manage changing priorities per facility needs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical, energetic, dependable, flexible, and resourceful.
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with the staff, public and private agencies, government officials and local consumers.

Compensation:

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, and paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 and is bonus eligible. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
