Gabbi, Inc. Lead Nurse Pracitioner, Women's Health (Remote) Remote · Part time

Gabbi is hiring a Lead Nurse Practitioner to be a key part of building our clinical team. This hybrid clinical and leadership role puts you at the front line of helping women understand their risk and catch breast cancer early — when survival rates are highest. This role is contract-to-hire.

About Gabbi, Inc.

We are on a mission to decrease delayed diagnosis amongst women, starting with breast cancer. Gabbi is the first digital health solution that accurately & inclusively predicts a woman's risk for breast cancer and equips her to take action with community support. We empower women to understand their bodies and proactively seek the care they need through the first-ever consumer-facing breast cancer risk model that assesses a woman’s lifetime risk for breast cancer.

Description

About Gabbi

Breast cancer touches nearly all of us — personally, through someone we love, or through our communities. By age 50, many women will have been close to someone diagnosed, or faced that diagnosis themselves. In 2026, women should not be dying of breast cancer. At Gabbi, we're on a mission to make late-stage breast cancer obsolete.

Early detection is everything. Women diagnosed at stage 0 or stage 1 have a 99% survival rate; women diagnosed at stage 4 have an approximately 30% survival rate.

The challenge is that too many women don't know their risk — so they don't know what care they need or when to seek it. Gabbi changes that. We start with a comprehensive, evidence-based risk assessment that helps women understand their individualized risk. From there, we provide a personalized action plan and real-time care navigation, supported by our clinical breast specialists, to help women access the right care at the right time.

We envision a world where every woman knows her risk — and we won't stop until we get there. At Gabbi, we save lives. We hope you'll join us.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

This role begins at 20 hours per week of administrative time plus 5 hours per week of clinical practice, with the goal of growing into a full-time position where clinical time makes up 50–75% of your weekly hours based on business needs. It's a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is a great opportunity to play a pivotal role in building out the clinical team at Gabbi and helping us save even more women's lives!

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead interviewing and onboarding for every new provider, from first conversation to first day of practice
  • Lead monthly APP meetings that keep the clinical team aligned, updated on the latest clinical guidelines, and ensure metrics are being met
  • Help implement new clinical initiatives
  • Conduct chart audits and other provider quality assurance to ensure consistency in quality of care
  • Own the relationship with the collaborating physician (CP) once the CP and APP are fully onboarded
  • Serve as the point of escalation for clinical questions across the care team
  • Work with Clinical Operations, Product & Engineering, Partner Success Managers, and Clinical Liaison to streamline provider and patient experience
  • Partner with the care coordination team to keep patient care seamless and every result accounted for and communicated to patients
  • Coach providers to maintain a 90% follow-up rate for high- and increased-risk patients
  • Develop clear, compelling case studies to share with clinical partners
  • Build trust with providers across our partner networks to strengthen the relationship and improve the experience of referring providers
  • Manage provider schedules and 1099 payments to keep operations running smoothly
  • Manage provider time off and coverage to ensure patients are never without care
  • Partner with Medical Directors to keep clinical protocols current and evidence-based

Clinical Care

  • Deliver care 100% remotely via secure telehealth
  • Own clinical KPIs to ensure providers are meeting the following metrics:
    • 90% of high and increased risk patients complete a follow-up appointment
    • Communication of abnormal imaging results within 24 hours
    • Note completion within 24 hours
    • >95% of audited charts meeting internal standards
    • Provider NPS > 90
    • Additional KPIs developed with Clinical Operations
  • Practice with autonomy in a team-based model — operating independently while collaborating with physicians and clinical partners when escalation or specialty input is needed
  • Deliver clinical excellence in a startup environment
  • Follow evidence-based protocols, keep meticulous documentation, and help improve workflows as we scale

Qualifications

  • APRN licensed in CT and NJ; at least one additional active license in FL, GA, ID, IL, MN, NJ, TX, VA, or WI
  • Experience in women's health preferred
  • Prior leadership experience supervising, mentoring, or managing clinical staff
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience operating as an independent provider, eligible for practice autonomy
  • Professional and emotionally intelligent in a high-trust, small-team setting
  • Telehealth experience strongly preferred
  • Multiple state NP licenses strongly preferred; willingness to obtain additional state licenses required

Who You Are

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly as priorities shift
  • Comfortable building while doing — you will be responsible for creating, testing, and refining clinical workflows and patient experiences while staying grounded in evidence-based care
  • Able to see the big picture, but willing to jump in the weeds to figure out the root of an issue in order to improve workflows
  • A natural leader — you know how to engage and manage providers; you are energized by growing other providers, not just supervising them; comfortable giving direct feedback and having hard conversations when performance slips
  • Highly self-directed — you take initiative, own outcomes, and follow through with minimal oversight; you are a quick learner and able to troubleshoot on your own
  • Energized by cross-functional work with ops, product, engineering, and member experience teams to improve care delivery
  • Eager to learn, iterate, and improve through data, feedback, and coaching
  • Mission-driven, with a patient-first approach and a desire to rethink how breast health care is delivered
  • Committed to staying current on NCCN guidelines for breast cancer early detection and prevention
  • A strong communicator who is clear, direct, warm, and able to effectively communicate these traits both in writing and in a virtual-first environment

Compensation and Benefits:

This is an incredible opportunity to help build out the clinical team at a venture-backed, early stage startup. You will work side by side with the CEO and Gabbi's clinical leadership to shape how care is delivered. Your goal is to help us bring Gabbi's vision to every woman — we can't do it without you!
