Summary
The Senior Director, Total Rewards & Wellbeing is responsible for oversight of DispatchHealth’s Compensation programs, Benefits strategy, and Occupational Health function. This role will also support M&A and integration activities, as the subject matter expert for Total Rewards alignment.
This role will drive operational excellence, optimize business strategies, and oversee comprehensive employee benefits and compensation programs as well as workplace occupational health programs. This role focuses on aligning business operations with organizational goals, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring a competitive benefits structure to attract and retain top talent. This leader will ensure that systems are optimized for scalability, user experience, compliance, and data integrity The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to execute high-impact initiatives that support long-term growth.
Strategic Operations Management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
- Develop and execute strategic operational initiatives that drive efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and implement improvements to streamline operations.
- Play a key role in M&A activities including due diligence, integration planning, stakeholder communications, documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business strategy and execution.
- Lead change management efforts, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to optimize operational performance.
Benefits Strategy & Administration
- Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other employee offerings.
- Evaluate current benefits programs and recommend enhancements to align with industry best practices and workforce needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits and compensation.
- Negotiate with benefits vendors and third-party providers to optimize costs and service quality.
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to develop budgets and forecasts related to benefits programs.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to deliver workforce insights regarding utilization and cost.
Compensation Strategy & Administration
- Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive compensation programs, including career framework and compensation best practices.
- Provider oversight of Provider compensation programs and advise leadership on variable pay models and overall pay strategy.
- Collaborate with Executive leadership to establish variable pay programs aligned to business goals and objectives.
- Evaluate current job titles and structure and recommend enhancements to align with industry best practices and workforce needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related compensation practices.
- Negotiate with compensation vendors and third-party providers to optimize costs and service quality.
Occupational Health, Workers’ Comp & Leave Of Absence
- Oversee organizational Occupational Health program and Workers' Comp and Leave of Absence programs.
- Partner with Clinical leaders and business leaders to deliver occupational health programs to meet the needs of the Clinical workforce.
- Lead the development and implementation of new policies, programs and vendor alignments support occupational health requirements and leave of absence management.
- Manage Workers’ Compensation matters and coordinate with internal teams, legal, carriers and governmental agencies.
Project Management & Execution
- Lead cross-functional projects to implement new programs and enhancements.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and KPIs for successful delivery.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment and effective change management throughout project lifecycles.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing talent.
- Manage vendor/carrier relationships, contracts, and performance to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data privacy requirements across all platforms.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team to drive performance and high-level of team member satisfaction.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing recommendations on operational improvements and benefits strategies.
- Engage with employees to communicate benefits offerings, ensuring awareness and understanding.
- Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors/carriers, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 8+ years of experience in strategic operations, benefits administration, or a related leadership role.
Skills/Abilities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Expertise in benefits and compensation program design, compliance, and cost management.
- Experience managing Workers’ Compensation claims and leave of absence programs.
- Experience with Occupational Health programs.
- Proven experience with enterprise-level HR platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP, Paylocity, etc.).
- Strong project management, systems integration, and process reengineering skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working with HRIS, compensation and benefits administration systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is remote with possible travel to practice locations in other states. The noise level in the work environment is typical of an office setting

Compensation Range: $155,000 - $170,000
