DexCare is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering who will report to the Director of Software Engineering. We are looking to grow our team to expand the efforts around the DexCare platform and we’re seeking an experienced manager who is excited about acting as a mentor to offer career and technical direction for the engineering team. Candidates will also work closely with the leaders of DexCare as well as our clients, participate in defining the roadmap, set technical direction, and build strong teams. DexCare does not shy away from cutting-edge technology and new approaches that can make work more efficient, as well as solve problems and improve and develop client satisfaction. Your reach will be across the entirety of the product line which spans mobile development, web application development, machine learning, data analytics, and infrastructure to name a few. There is plenty of room for growth within this fast-growing company.
Role is based out of our Seattle HQ (Eastlake area) 2 days/week.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a mentor and be able to listen and provide constructive feedback
  • Be a team player – share your thoughts but know when to disagree and when to commit
  • You will have influence over the entire architecture as well as having firsthand interactions with clients. You must have the ability to communicate both internally and externally when representing DexCare
  • Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
  • Advise on strategy and ensure that the team is forward thinking
  • Hire, coach, and develop software engineering team-members (with the active involvement and input of the existing team-members)
  • Experience leading Agile teams and projects to deliver working software iteratively with quality
  • Demonstrable ability to break down work and set project priorities for both you and your team
  • Strong computer science fundamentals
  • Strong systems design and object-oriented programming experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Passion around improving processes and software design

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in serving as a manager of software engineering professionals leading full stack engineers and products (web applications & backend services)
  • 8 years of relevant experience in the industry shipping enterprise software using SoA, and delivering solutions end to end
  • Experience with Typescript or Node.js
  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience with React.js, Redux, Angular, or similar
  • Building out EMR integrations using FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7, and/or Epic Interconnect
  • Configuring and maintaining a SaaS solution built on Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes (including Helm) with Docker container
  • Experience with firsthand interactions with external clients
