About Clarion

Clarion is building the most advanced AI communication layer for healthcare. Our AI agents handle the overwhelming volume of calls and messages that clinics face daily—from scheduling to billing to prescription refills—freeing staff to focus on patient care. We're an in-person company based in New York.

Today, clinics miss 30-40% of inbound calls due to staffing shortages. We're solving this by automating complex workflows end-to-end, already serving tens of thousands of patients monthly across virtual care companies, health systems, and a $5B health insurance company.

We've raised $5.4M from Accel, Y Combinator, Sequoia (scout), and healthcare founders from Ophelia, Medallion, and Counsel Health.

Our founders bring both clinical and technical expertise—our CEO Ryan is a Stanford/Harvard-trained physician who was on the founding teams of Two Chairs and Ophelia, while our CTO Jeffrey built voice AI at Amazon Alexa and led AI/ML teams at Salesforce.

Join us as we transform healthcare communication—creating a future where patients get faster resolutions and providers reclaim time for what matters most.

Why Join Us?

  • Early-stage with strong market validation: We have dozens of paying customers with rapidly growing revenue and strong market signals, while offering the high-impact environment of an early-stage startup.
  • Solving a massive healthcare challenge: We're addressing a critical problem in healthcare communication that affects millions of patients and providers daily, with technology that can truly transform the patient experience.
  • Technical founding team: You'll work directly with experienced founders who deeply understand both healthcare operations and technical development, enabling faster decision-making and better product outcomes.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech Frontier: You'll harness the latest generative AI models—LLMs, voice synthesis, and real-time transcription—to craft conversational agents that transform healthcare communication, while driving innovation to push these technologies beyond their current limits.
  • In-person collaboration advantage: We've built in-person since day one and maintain this as a strategic advantage—we move faster, build stronger bonds, and create a cohesive culture.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Generate qualified pipeline by identifying and engaging healthcare organizations drowning in administrative burden—from multi-location practices to health systems to virtual care companies struggling with call volume.
  • Master the healthcare landscape to effectively communicate how our AI agents solve real operational pain points, speaking fluently about missed calls, staff burnout, and patient access challenges.
  • Execute multi-channel outreach through strategic cold calling, personalized emails, and LinkedIn engagement to connect with practice managers, operations directors, and C-suite executives.
  • Partner with Account Executives to seamlessly transition qualified opportunities, ensuring prospects understand our value proposition and are excited to see a demo.
  • Build our outbound playbook by testing messaging, tracking what resonates with different healthcare segments, and documenting successful strategies that can scale with our team.
  • Represent Clarion as the first voice many healthcare leaders hear, embodying our mission to transform patient communication while maintaining the empathy required in healthcare.

Requirements

  • Sales development foundation: 6+ months of SDR/BDR experience with demonstrated success in cold outreach and pipeline generation (recent grads with relevant internships welcome).
  • Healthcare industry knowledge: Understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, or experience selling into healthcare organizations is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Ability to craft compelling messages and confidently engage executives on phone calls within your first week.
  • Metrics-driven mindset: Comfortable in a performance-oriented environment where success is measured by meetings booked, pipeline generated, and conversion rates.
  • Tools proficiency: Experience with CRMs, email outreach tools, Sales Navigator, and other sales enablement platforms.
  • In-person commitment: Excited to work from our New York office 5 days per week, building strong relationships with the team.

You are a good fit if

  • You're relentlessly curious about healthcare challenges and genuinely excited to learn how different practices operate and where AI can make the biggest impact.
  • You thrive on rejection and see every "no" as valuable data that helps refine your approach for the next conversation.
  • You're a systems thinker who not only executes playbooks but constantly identifies ways to improve processes and scale what works.
  • You bring infectious energy to every interaction, whether it's a cold call with a skeptical practice manager or a team standup.
  • You're mission-driven and motivated by knowing that every meeting you book could lead to thousands of patients getting better care.
