About the Role:

The Manager, Business Performance Analytics will serve as a strategic, analytical thought partner, taking ownership of complex analytical projects that directly influence market strategy and financial success. You will move beyond reporting "what" is happening to explaining "why" and modeling "what could be" based on identified challenges. This role requires a specialized depth of knowledge and understanding of value-based care mechanics, medical economics principles, and advanced analytical techniques and best practices to guide us toward achieving our goals of improving health outcomes, reducing costs, and advancing health equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently guides, designs, and builds dashboards and analytical tools to identify quantifiable insights and actions that support operational and clinical leaders in their management of market performance across clinical, operational, and financial domains

  • Provide key stakeholders with critical business insights and performance metrics through the use of complex data analysis methods and modeling

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor and own end-to-end work product with cross functional teams, such as Finance, Medical Economics, Clinical Analytics, and operational departments across the organization.

  • Effectively interprets complex business needs into actionable data modeling exercises that align to achieving business priorities and organizational strategy.

  • Communicate to key stakeholders the results and recommended action items uncovered during analytical exercises.

  • Function in a highly-matrixed, fast-paced and team-based environment.

  • Support the operational infrastructure through timely reporting with ongoing focus on organizational effectiveness and total cost of care management.

  • Leverage and embrace technology to drive process improvement, operational efficiency, and improved health and total cost of care outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or other quantitative/data science area of focus.

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Medical Economics, Population Health Analytics, and/or Medical Management capacity. Strongly preferred to have experience working for a health plan or risk-bearing entity.

  • Experience leading initiatives with minimal leadership oversight

  • Excellent communication, analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills

  • Quantitative reasoning and practical thinking methodology, data process modeling, and a strong attention to detail

  • Expert-level efficiency in SQL, Looker, and/or other business intelligence platforms

  • Strong interest in working with large / complex / segmented data sets and an ability to extract, analyze, and interpret financial / operational / clinical data to address business questions across the organization.

  • Experience with evaluating impact of value based care models strongly preferred with a strong interest in learning additional healthcare industry concepts.

  • Deep understanding of healthcare economics principles, including medical loss ratio (MLR), PMPM analysis, and utilization metrics

  • Desire to join & grow with a high performing, result-driven analytics teams.

The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:

$100,000 - $140,000 Annually
