Job Description:

  • About the Role:

The Senior Associate, Behavior Change and Design will radically improve healthcare by leading a portfolio of research and design initiatives to understand and influence health behaviors, member trust, and patient engagement. You will develop and execute on research plans, design and test interventions to improve member and user experience, and own and run flagship workforce and member surveys. You will be part of a team working at the intersection of art and science; collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in member experience, operational, clinical, and product orgs; and play a key role in executing strategies for the business.

    Responsibilities:

  • Own the design and operationalization of large scale workforce and member surveys at a quarterly cadence (Qualtrics and DISQO experience preferred), analyzing data (in GSheets/Excel and SQL) and delivering nuanced insights, executive decks and other summary outputs

  • Set and deliver against data driven member and user experience goals

  • Lead a portfolio of research and pilots focused on behavior change, member trust and patient engagement, to be developed and executed concurrently under the supervision of a senior director

  • Independently develop research plans and instruments, including discussion guides and surveys

  • Recruit participants for qualitative research including Cityblock members and frontline colleagues

  • Independently interview/observe members both virtually and in person in their communities and homes, care team users, and other stakeholders and synthesize barriers and pain points to desired behaviors

  • Lead service discovery in partnership with operational colleagues and size opportunities based on qualitative and quantitative research with members and users and lightweight data collection/analysis

  • Lead service design in partnership with operational colleagues and work collaboratively to design and run service experiments

  • Make sense of the qualitative and quantitative data you’ve collected and analyzed, synthesizing beyond the topline findings to uncover the deeper insights

  • Create compelling knowledge products for peer teams and senior audiences alike, distilling actionable takeaways

  • Incorporate external behavior change evidence and behavioral design approaches into your process

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years experience in applied research and/or testing

  • Experience managing several high impact projects at once with a high degree of autonomy

  • A plus: experience running surveys dealing with healthcare experience such as Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) or person-centered primary care with direct relevance to the flagship Cityblock surveys you will own
