About Babyscripts

Babyscripts is a leading innovator in digital maternal health, transforming pregnancy and postpartum care through remote patient monitoring (RPM) and digital engagement. Our solutions enable OB providers and health systems to monitor patients in real time, improving access, early intervention, and overall outcomes in maternal-fetal health.

About the Role

We are seeking a Qualified Healthcare Provider (QHCP) — Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife — to join our remote clinical operations team on a fractional or part-time basis.

This role requires active licensure in the state of Texas, as the provider will support patients and clinical partners located in Texas.

In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to review vitals data, assess patient communications, and document clinical summaries that support key customer and quality requirements. The QHCP will also participate in targeted patient outreach for elevated readings, symptoms, or follow-up coordination as part of our virtual maternal health model.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician seeking flexible, remote work while contributing meaningfully to a growing digital health company advancing maternal outcomes nationwide.

Time Commitment: Approximately 10–20 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs and case volume.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient data trends (e.g., blood pressure, weight, symptoms) and identify high-risk cases requiring intervention.
  • Perform clinical assessments via phone, telehealth, or messaging to provide education, intervention, and care plan adjustments.
  • Provide direct patient education on managing hypertension, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia risks, postpartum recovery, and other maternal health concerns.
  • Escalate high-risk cases to the appropriate provider per established protocols.
  • Support care coordination by assisting patients with referrals, scheduling follow-ups, and connecting them to additional resources.
  • Ensure compliance with RPM protocols by coaching patients on adherence and addressing barriers to engagement.
  • Document all clinical interactions in Babyscripts' care management platform, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Clinical Data Review: Analyze patient vitals data (e.g., blood pressure, glucose, weight, symptoms) and message histories to identify trends, risk factors, and potential clinical concerns.
  • Clinical Documentation: Create and validate summary notes or Evidence of Care (EoC) reports supporting provider review and quality reporting requirements.
  • Patient Outreach: Conduct focused patient outreach via phone or secure messaging to verify readings, reinforce care plans, or assess for warning signs when needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data completeness, appropriate clinical coding alignment, and compliance with Babyscripts protocols and payer requirements.
  • Provider Coordination: Escalate abnormal findings or nonresponsive patients per established triage and escalation pathways.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide clinical feedback to support optimization of Babyscripts’ workflows, triggers, and RPM care logic.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted NP, PA, or CNM license in the state of Texas (required).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN, women’s health, maternal-fetal medicine, or related fields.
  • Prior experience with remote patient monitoring, telehealth, or population health preferred.
  • Strong ability to synthesize data and communicate concise clinical insights.
  • Comfort navigating EHRs, care management platforms, and digital tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.

Compensation & Structure

  • Type: Fractional / 1099 or W2 part-time (based on preference and local regulations).
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly or per-review rate, commensurate with experience and licensure.
  • Incentives: Eligible for quality- and performance-based bonuses (documentation accuracy, turnaround time, engagement metrics).
  • Flexibility: Fully remote; scheduling coordinated with the clinical operations lead based on coverage needs.

Note: Part-time employees are not eligible for full-time medical, dental, vision, or 401(k) benefits, but may be eligible for select company perks depending on hours worked and tenure.

Staffing & Coverage Expectations

  • Maintain consistent availability during agreed-upon hours (e.g., 10–20 hrs/week).
  • Communicate any planned time off or coverage changes in advance to maintain patient continuity.
  • Participate in clinical huddles or team updates as scheduled (typically brief and virtual).

Please Note: Applicants must hold an active NP, PA, or CNM license in the state of Texas to be considered for this role. Licensure in additional states is welcome but not required.
