About Aytza

Aytza is building the future of strategic consulting. We're an AI-native consulting firm that fuses the depth of human expertise with the precision and speed of AI, designed from the ground up for healthcare startup leaders.

We flip the traditional consulting pyramid on its head: a core AI engine powers our data and analysis (with humans in the loop), enabling experienced advisors to support startups in a leaner, faster way. Our clients are founders navigating complex, high-stakes decisions in the healthcare space, such as launching new products and services, developing M&A strategy, or US market entry.

We’re an early, but fast growing company and this is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Founder and leadership team as we grow the business from the ground up.

The Role

We are looking for a Business Operations Lead to execute core operational functions across the organization. You’ll be the operational backbone of Aytza, the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks as we continue to scale. Especially at this stage in our growth, strong CEO support is a force multiplier for the business. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and strong execution across finance, people operations, vendor management, and leadership support. The primary focus among these responsibilities may flex based on our priorities and our evolving needs as we grow.

This role is remote with Eastern Time business hours and occasional travel (3-5 times a year) to meet with the team in person. We are open to candidates in the U.S. and internationally, provided you can work ET hours and are a short direct flight from the US East Coast.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Support

  • Manage calendars and scheduling
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics
  • Meeting management and to do list tracking
  • CRM and contact management support

People Operations

  • Support recruiting and team onboarding
  • Coordinate payroll activities
  • Support benefits administration and compliance needs

Finance & Administrative Operations

  • Support expense tracking and invoicing
  • Track budgets and support basic financial reporting
  • Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting vendors

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Serve as primary operations contact for vendors and tools
  • Manage contracts and renewals
  • Ensure vendor relationships and operational needs are handled reliably

What we’re looking for

You are...

A builder, not a maintainer. You see a messy process and can't help but fix it. You create just enough structure to keep things moving without over-engineering. You bring issues up before they become problems, and you have the judgment to know when to handle something yourself versus when to flag it. You're the person your team describes as "the one who keeps everything running."

You bring...

  • 3+ years in business operations, ops management, or executive support (ideally at an early-stage startup where you wore many hats)
  • Comfort with ambiguity and building systems from scratch, not just following existing ones
  • Discretion with sensitive information (you'll have visibility into finances, client relationships, and founder communications)
  • Fluency with startup tools: you are at home in a stack like Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion
  • AI-savvy: you actively experiment with AI tools to streamline and automate your work

You'll stand out if you...

  • Have healthcare or health tech industry experience
  • Have managed bookkeeping, invoicing, or budget tracking
  • Have experience with social media or podcast production
  • Have supported a founder or C-level exec directly
  • Can point to a system or process you built from scratch that your team still uses

You might not be a fit if...

  • You need detailed instructions before taking action
  • You prefer deep specialization over wearing many hats
  • Ambiguity frustrates rather than energizes you
  • You want to use this role as a stepping stone into a strategy role
