Market Executive Director – Massachusetts

Location: Hybrid (Remote in Greater Boston, MA with frequent statewide travel)

About ANNA

ANNA (Allied Network for Neurodevelopmental Advancement), is a mission-driven organization that provides ABA services to young autistic children (under the age of 6) and their families using a neurodiversity-affirming, Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI approach). We have multiple centers (5 and growing!) in Massachusetts and are looking for a passionate, experienced operator to help support and lead our growing team.

Position Overview

The Market Executive Director (MED) is the senior operational leader for ANNA’s Massachusetts market. You will own market performance across growth, access, quality, team development, and financial outcomes—leading Clinical Directors, Community Outreach, and our state Clinical Psychologist to ensure consistent, excellent care and sustainable growth.

Success in this role will be measured by growth in client access / referral pipeline, high clinical utilization, strong family satisfaction, team retention and leadership development, and achievement of state-level financial targets.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Market Growth & Strategy

  • Own Massachusetts growth strategy and execution, including expanding referral partnerships with community organizations and utilizing data to inform initiatives to increase access to ANNA services

  • Lead new center launches and service expansion within the state

  • Lead market-level payer relationship management in partnership with Market Clinical Services Director including maintaining regular engagement with key payer partners, supporting contract negotiations, and coordinating responses to payer inquiries, audits, and operational needs

Operations & Financial Leadership

  • Own the Massachusetts market P&L, including forecasting capacity and allocating resources to meet targets.

  • Partners with Clinical Directors and state clinical Psychologist to improve service delivery for diagnostic services and center-based ABA services (including but not limited to utilization, client access, quality)

  • Maintain scalable operational systems aligned with ANNA standard operating procedures across all clinics in the state

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop Clinical Directors, Clinical Psychologist, and Community Engagement Specialists

  • Foster a positive, mission driven culture, partner with HR on talent, retention, and development.

  • Lead market-level talent and performance management in partnership with HR and direct reports

Family Experience & Quality

  • Ensure timely access to care, high quality care delivery, and strong family communication is being delivered across all centers in Massachusetts.

  • Track outcomes and satisfaction, address escalations, and identify and implement opportunities to improve.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to federal/state/payer requirements and ANNA policies and procedures

  • Lead audits, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness across clinics.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (healthcare administration or business preferred).

  • 7+ years in healthcare; 5+ years leading site or multisite operations.

  • Demonstrated success leading cross functional teams.

  • P&L ownership/management experience.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in behavioral health, autism services, or pediatric care.

  • Experience scaling services or opening new locations.

  • Background in a high growth or startup environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $160,000–$190,000 (based on experience, skills, and internal equity)

  • Bonus: Target 20% of base salary
