The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly experienced individual to join our team to expand market access for Allara’s services. The ideal candidate for this role will be an exceptional performer that can execute quickly and think dynamically about how to expand Allara’s footprint with health plans. In this role, you will be responsible for a key part of our growth strategy, helping to open new markets, new customer segments and new service lines.

Location: Fully remote within the U.S.

What You’ll Do

  • Track Allara’s current market coverage and prioritize new contacts to pursue
  • Establish new national and regional payer contracts end-to-end including initiating outreach, submitting initial applications and resolving rejections
  • Analyze, benchmark and negotiate contract rates to optimize terms on new and existing contracts
  • Develop deeper partnerships with payers that help drive patient awareness and acquisition
  • Work with payers to measure Allara’s patient and economic value
  • Develop contacting strategies for new Allara services lines
  • Explore value-based and other novel contracting strategies
  • Work closely with Credentialing and Revenue Cycle Management to scale our payer operations and troubleshoot issues

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of payer contracting and/or payer partnerships experience
  • Deep knowledge of payers, with an existing network of payer relationships
  • Strong understanding of healthcare and reimbursement dynamics
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong contracting and negotiating skills
  • Team player who can coordinate well with other departments
  • Passion for Allara’s mission and space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Start-up experience
  • Located in the Bay Area or New York

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: candidate experience, location, education, certifications, and skill set.
