The Senior Learning Experience Designer (Sr. LXD) drives design strategy and execution for high-complexity domains across Aledade’s Practice Education programs. This role balances near-term deliverables with long-term program evolution, designing learning solutions that address practice needs, align with organizational goals, and enhance user outcomes.
The Sr. LXD brings expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and multimodal content delivery. They take ownership of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring learning programs are scalable, measurable, and strategically aligned to meet Aledade’s broader Practice Education vision.
The ideal candidate thrives on managing ambiguity, anticipating challenges, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-impact learning solutions that drive practice transformation.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead the design and evolution of scalable learning programs that address high-complexity domains, align with stakeholder needs, and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure programs are adaptable, multimodal, and strategically integrated across initiatives.
  • Align learning programs with organizational goals and stakeholder priorities, balancing immediate needs with long-term strategies across multiple initiatives and complex projects.
  • Define and track metrics to measure learning impact, using insights to enhance team strategies and optimize learning solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members, facilitate educational sessions, project critiques and postmortems, and promote a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Refine and standardize team processes to ensure learning programs are executed consistently, efficiently, and at scale—enhancing collaboration, improving intake workflows, and creating a seamless and consistent end-user experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years experience in Learning Experience Design or related instructional design roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise designing multimodal, scalable learning programs for diverse audiences, preferably in healthcare, SaaS, or complex systems.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design best practices, and evidence-based learning strategies and LMS platforms..
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives, manage trade-offs, and influence decisions at multiple organizational levels.
  • Experience leveraging data insights to inform design decisions, define learning metrics, and measure program impact.
  • Strong facilitation skills for design critiques, postmortems, and stakeholder reviews, fostering alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to build trust and navigate complex conversations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing for audiences with highly variable workflows (e.g., healthcare practices or complex organizations).
  • Background in creating badging programs, microlearning initiatives, or technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with driver diagrams or other strategic frameworks to map skills, conduct Job Task Analyses (JTAs), and reduce content overlap.
  • Experience managing projects with long timelines, tight interdependencies, and platform integrations.
  • Experience in healthcare

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
