Location: Huron Clinic – Huron, SD
Position: Nurse Practitioner-Family Medicine
Job Type: Full-time hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm) (no weekends or holidays)

Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests – in clinic Laboratory, Ultrasound, Xray, EKG, Dexascans
- Prescribe medications and promote wellness plans
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely completion of medical record documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted license as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Master’s degree in Nursing with specialization in Family Practice
- 1 year experience preferred, not required
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Athena preferred)
- Experience in utilization review
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and member of our healthcare team
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
