Position: Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures. Your main responsibilities will include:

- Preparing the operating room by sterilizing and setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.

- Assisting the surgical team by handing them instruments and supplies during procedures.

- Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and other team members to ensure a smooth operation.

- Maintaining a sterile field throughout the procedure to prevent infection.

- Monitoring and managing surgical equipment, such as lights and suction machines.

- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

- Assisting with patient positioning and draping.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Basic life support (BLS) certification to respond to medical emergencies in the operating room.

- Proficiency in data collection and documentation, including accurate medical record keeping.

- Knowledge of hospital protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines.

- Familiarity with surgical procedures in various specialties.

- Ability to handle and pass surgical instruments, such as sutures, clamps, and retractors.

- Understanding of infection control practices to maintain a sterile environment.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
