ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an engineering leader who can make a substantial impact on a dynamic, fast-moving business? Are you equally comfortable digging into product requirements as drilling into architecture and design with development teams? Are you passionate about bringing the best experience to our users and customers? Do you relish supporting and growing people through management? If so, this could be the opportunity for you. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and support our Care Journeys team.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, quality, and operational excellence

  • Guarantee the quality of deliveries and compliance by contributing to our standards and processes and helping document these

  • Interview and recruit top talent to support our engineering team’s growth

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and project success

  • Having a servant-leadership mindset, you will lead by example and actively contribute to a positive engineering culture at Ada.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • You bring several years of experience contributing to scalable platforms and software architectures, ideally at least 3 years in a similar role leading Engineers

  • Experience in Healthcare or another regulated industry is a big plus

  • You have a track record of delivering and owning projects end-to-end

  • You are proficient in software architecture including best-practice design principles

  • You have contributed to engineering guidelines and processes and have experience in developing or integrating healthcare solutions

  • You have a very strong background either in backend development, being experienced in the JVM ecosystem making use of Kotlin or Java’s functional abilities, or with our frontend tech stack with experience in component-based frontend architectures (eg. micro frontends)

  • You know and care about engineering practices like continuous delivery, shared code ownership, automated testing, and operational excellence

  • You are used to working in an environment where you design, build, and run it

  • You have good knowledge of our tech stack: Kotlin, Spring Boot, JVM, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Node.js, Typescript, and common cloud platforms
