About the Role:

The Abacus Insights Growth team continues to expand! After a banner year, the team is seeking a highly skill Solution Engineer (SE) to help drive opportunities through the pre-sales process. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President, Solution Engineering, the SE is a perfect blend of healthcare payer expertise and experience in running pre-sales activities such as product demonstrations, pricing exercises, etc. In this role you will work in front of Abacus Insights customers as well as be a liaison of every corner of the Abacus Insights business.

You Will:

  • Be an expert storyteller, and trusted advisor both to our customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance to existing and prospective clients as to how Abacus and Industry solutions could better enable them to meet strategic business goals.
  • Work with marketing, product and engineering regularly to create customer specific content and contribute to Abacus Insights market messaging
  • Deliver product demonstrations of the Abacus Insights platform and associated data solutions; provide feedback and work to refine demonstration scripts and scenarios to meet client needs.
  • Depended on as a key player in creating value-based pricing models on a per opportunity basis
  • Partner with Sales Directors to strategize on key account penetration

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or pre-sales solution engineering \
  • 5+ years of experience working either for or directly with healthcare payers
  • A deep understanding of cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks and Snowflake
  • 5-7 years of experience working with Government funded programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial ACA
  • Subject expertise and industry solution/system knowledge in areas such as Cost-of-Care, Risk Adjustment, Healthcare Quality, Medicare Stars, UM/CM

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working both inside a payer and for technology companies that serve payers
  • Experience working as a consultant inside the healthcare vertical
