The Business Development Associate will be responsible for supporting the Senior Business Development Director in all aspects of their role and will report to them.

Key Responsibilities

RFP and Proposal Management and Delivery

  • Assist with managing the process of receiving, tracking, and responding to RFPs.
  • Assist with preparing and delivering client proposals and contracts under the supervision of the Senior Business Development Director.
  • Assist with coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of contracts.

Client Relationships and Meeting Management

  • Support Senior Business Development Director in their efforts to develop existing accounts, as well as targeting new potential accounts in untapped geographical areas.
  • Support client meeting scheduling, preparation (agenda, presentation, etc.), and management of post-meeting action items.
  • Attend client meetings with Senior Director.
  • Attend industry conferences and networking events as needed.

Internal Coordination and Process Management

  • Assist with preparation of weekly reports with assistance of Senior Director.
  • Ensures appropriate management of HubSpot data for their account portfolio.
  • Coordinate with Portfolio on study timelines.
  • Coordinate with Account Management to ensure best-in-class customer experience for all accounts managed.

Custom Study Demonstrations

  • Work under the supervision of the Senior Business Development Director to deliver study demonstrations to prospects and clients.
  • Attend client demo and/or bid defence meetings, leading custom solution demonstrations as appropriate.
  • Partner with operations and Client Services Leads to ensure streamlined client communication and relationship management across sales demo activities and project delivery for existing clients.

Required Experience

  • 2+ years successful eClinical experience or equivalent in a Sales role (Inside sales, Commercial Operations, Field Sales, etc.) or client-facing technical role.
  • Previous experience selling IRT/RTSM products is a plus.
  • Must be proficient and effective in prospecting and cold calling/outreach.
  • Proven ability in successfully presenting and demonstrating to customers and managing different stages of the commercial process (client meeting, proposals, contracts, etc.).

Education and/or Certification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
